This RockJock Johnny Joint rod end comes with the forged joint body, high-density urethane bushings, a heat-treated center ball with a zerk fitting for lubrication, two heavy-duty heat-treated side washers, and a snap ring. It's designed for fabricators and builders working on custom suspension systems. The joint itself is 2 1/2 inches in diameter and features a 1 inch-14 left-hand threaded shank, measuring 2 1/4 inches long. The ball has a 2.585-inch mounting width and a .640-inch thru-bolt hole, finished in gold zinc plating.

Unlike a common heim joint, which typically offers about 22 degrees of movement, this Johnny Joint allows for up to 30 degrees of unrestricted movement in any direction. The urethane bushings provide cushioning that a heim joint can't match, contributing to a more comfortable ride. The heat-treated center ball is cross-drilled to allow for lubrication directly through the zerk fitting, ensuring the joint stays well-greased and operates smoothly.
