The heat-treated center ball on this RockJock Johnny Joint rod end is cross-drilled, allowing for lubrication to reach the entire joint. This is a key feature for fabricators and suspension system builders who need reliable movement and durability in their custom builds. Unlike a standard heim joint, which typically offers about 22 degrees of movement, the Johnny Joint provides up to 30 degrees of unrestricted movement in any direction, giving your suspension more flexibility.

Inside the joint, high-density urethane bushings surround the inner ball, offering cushioning that a heim joint can't match. The joint's internals are secured by two heavy-duty, heat-treated side washers and a snap ring. This particular joint has a 2 1/2 inch diameter, a 2.590 inch mounting width ball, and a .718 inch thru-bolt hole. The shank features 1 1/4 inch-12 left-hand threads, measuring 2 1/4 inches long, and includes a zerk fitting for easy external greasing. It's finished in a gold zinc plating for corrosion resistance.
