This RockJock Johnny Joint rod end features a heat-treated, cross-drilled center ball that allows for lubrication to reach the entire joint. It's designed for fabricators and builders who need a lot of articulation in their custom suspension systems. Unlike a standard heim joint, which typically offers around 22 degrees of movement, this Johnny Joint can move up to 40 degrees in any direction. This improved range of motion is thanks to the high-density urethane bushings that cushion the inner ball, providing a smoother ride than a metal-on-metal heim joint.

The joint itself is a 2 1/2 inch diameter unit, built with a forged body for strength. It comes with a zerk fitting so you can easily grease it, keeping the internals well-lubricated. The shank has 2 1/4 inches of 1 inch-14 right-hand threads, and the ball has a mounting width of 2.625 inches with a 0.562 inch hole for a thru-bolt. The internal components are held in place by two heavy-duty, heat-treated side washers and a snap ring, ensuring durability. It's finished in a gold zinc plating for corrosion resistance.
