Unlike a heim joint, the Johnny Joint uses high-density urethane bushings around the inner ball to absorb some of the shock and vibration, making for a more comfortable ride. The center ball itself is heat-treated and cross-drilled so you can easily lubricate it through the included zerk fitting. It's held in place by two heavy-duty, heat-treated washers and a snap ring. This particular joint has a 2 1/2 inch diameter ball, a 3.280 inch mounting width, and a .718 inch hole for the thru-bolt. The shank has 2 1/4 inches of 1 1/4 inch-12 right-hand threads, giving you plenty of adjustment for your build. It’s finished with a gold zinc plating for corrosion resistance.
