If you're building a custom suspension setup, like a link arm or control arm, you need a rod end that can handle a lot of movement and keep things smooth. The RockJock Johnny Joint is a well-known option for fabricators because it offers a full 30 degrees of unrestricted movement in any direction, which is more than you get with a typical heim joint. This extra flex helps your suspension articulate smoothly over rough terrain.

What sets the Johnny Joint apart is its design. Instead of just a metal-on-metal connection, it uses high-density urethane bushings around the heat-treated center ball. This not only cushions the ride but also helps keep dirt and debris out. The center ball is cross-drilled so you can grease it easily, and it's held in place by strong, heat-treated washers and a snap ring. The outer shell is made from .180 inch wall DOM tubing that's ready to be welded onto your custom components. This particular joint has a 2 1/2 inch outer diameter, a 2.365 inch mounting width, and a .5625 inch hole for the thru-bolt. A greasable Grade 8 bolt with a nut and washers is included to get you started.
