RockJock is known for making serious off-road suspension components, and their Johnny Joints are a popular choice for fabricators building custom suspension systems. This weld-on rod end is designed to give you a full 30 degrees of movement in any direction, which is more than you'd typically get from a standard heim joint. That extra range of motion can make a big difference when you're setting up suspension arms for serious articulation.

What sets the Johnny Joint apart is the way it handles movement. Instead of just a bare ball and socket, it uses high-density urethane bushings to cushion the inner ball. This not only helps absorb some of the road shock but also provides a different feel compared to a heim joint. The center ball is heat-treated and has a hole drilled through it so you can easily lubricate the internals with the included zerk fitting. The outer shell is made from .180 wall DOM tubing that's ready to be welded onto your custom arms, and it's designed to accept a .5625 inch thru-bolt.

This particular joint has a 2 1/2 inch outer diameter and a mounting width of 2.625 inches. It's sold individually, and remember that the bolt for the thru-bolt hole is not included.
