Product Details
This is the RockJock Johnny Joint rod end, a popular choice for fabricators building custom suspension systems. It's designed to give you a full 40 degrees of movement in any direction, which is significantly more than you'd get from a standard heim joint. The urethane bushing inside the joint helps cushion the ride, something a heim joint just can't do.
The center ball is heat-treated and drilled so you can easily lubricate it through the included zerk fitting. It's held in place by two heavy-duty washers and a snap ring. This particular joint has a 2-inch diameter body, a 1-inch by 14 right-hand thread on the shank, and the ball itself is 1.600 inches wide with a 0.480-inch hole for the thru-bolt. It's finished in gold zinc plating for a solid look.
