The heat-treated center ball in this RockJock Johnny Joint rod end is cross-drilled, allowing for easy lubrication through the zerk fitting. This joint is built for fabricators and suspension system builders who need a robust component for custom builds. Unlike a standard heim joint, which typically offers around 22 degrees of movement, this Johnny Joint allows for a full 40 degrees of unrestricted movement in any direction. This increased range of motion is thanks to the high-density urethane bushings that surround the inner ball, providing cushioning that a heim joint simply can't match.

This particular joint features a narrow 2-inch diameter forged body. The shank has 2.3 inches of 7/8-inch-14 left-hand threads, giving you plenty of material to work with when setting up your suspension links. The ball itself has a 2-inch mounting width and a .515-inch through-bolt hole, designed to accept a common bolt size for secure installation. The entire assembly is finished in gold zinc plating for corrosion resistance, and it's retained by two heavy-duty, heat-treated side washers and a snap ring to keep everything in place.
