RockJock is known for building tough suspension components for off-road vehicles. This Johnny Joint rod end is a popular choice for fabricators and anyone building a custom suspension system. It offers a significant amount of movement, allowing your suspension to articulate freely over obstacles. Unlike a basic heim joint, which typically allows about 22 degrees of movement, this Johnny Joint can move up to 40 degrees in any direction. This improved range of motion is thanks to the high-density urethane bushing that surrounds the inner ball, providing a bit of cushioning that a heim joint can't match.

The center ball is heat-treated and cross-drilled so you can easily lubricate it through the zerk fitting. It's held in place by two heavy-duty, heat-treated washers and a snap ring. This particular joint has a 2-inch diameter, a narrow body, and a long shank that measures 9 inches from the center of the joint to the end of the threads. You get 3-1/2 inches of 1-inch-14 RH threads, and the center pivot ball is 1.800 inches wide with a .630-inch thru-hole. The long shank design pushes the jam nut further away from the mounting bracket, giving you more room to work with.
