If you're building a custom suspension system or fabricating suspension arms, you need a rod end that can handle serious articulation. The RockJock Johnny Joint rod end is built for this kind of work, offering up to 40 degrees of movement in any direction. That's a lot more freedom than you'd get from a standard heim joint, which typically tops out around 22 degrees.

What sets the Johnny Joint apart is its design. Instead of just a metal-on-metal pivot, it uses high-density urethane bushings around the inner ball. This not only cushions the movement but also provides a different feel than a heim joint. The center ball itself is heat-treated and drilled so you can lubricate it through the bolt hole, and it's held in place by heavy-duty washers and a snap ring. This particular joint has a narrow 3-inch body, 1.5-inch-12 right-hand threads on the shank for a good amount of adjustment, and a 3.250-inch mounting width with a 3/4-inch bolt hole.

It comes finished in a gold zinc plating for a solid look and some corrosion resistance. Plus, there's a zerk fitting right on the joint body for easy greasing, making maintenance straightforward.
