3M Super Strength Molding Tape 03609 is a 1/2-inch by 5-foot roll of double-sided adhesive built specifically for attaching body side moldings, trim pieces, and emblems to vehicle surfaces. With a 0.045-inch-thick medium-density foam core and high-performance acrylic adhesive on both sides, it conforms to slight curves and panel contours while maintaining a strong bond.

One side uses AR7 High Performance Acrylic and the other uses DS4 High Performance Acrylic, which means the tape grips well on both painted and unpainted surfaces. The foam core is not just a spacer; it absorbs vibration and flexes with the body panel as it expands and contracts through temperature swings. Speaking of temperature, this tape holds from -40F all the way up to 250F, so it handles summer heat and winter cold without letting go.

If you are re-attaching a molding strip that has come loose or mounting a new emblem, clean both surfaces thoroughly before applying. Press firmly along the full length of the bond for best adhesion.
