When you're working on your 2011-2016 Ford F-250 or F-350 with the 6.7L Powerstroke engine, keeping the cooling system clean is key to preventing premature wear. This coolant filtration system from Sinister Diesel helps remove contaminants like casting sand and metal shavings that can clog up vital components such as the EGR cooler and water pump.
The filter boss is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and anodized in a Sinister Blue finish. It attaches to a supplied bracket that uses factory mounting holes, so no drilling is required for installation. The system bypasses and filters a small amount of your engine's coolant while it's running, and the filter itself can be easily unscrewed for replacement. Sinister Diesel recommends changing the first filter at 500 miles, the next two at 3,000 miles each, and then annually after that. The kit includes all necessary fittings and pre-assembled silicone hoses for a leak-proof connection.
