Skunk2 builds these valves from one-piece forgings using HNV3 martensitic steel for the intake valves and EV8 austenitic steel for the exhaust valves, then applies a proprietary heat treatment for added strength and durability. They also get a hard chrome plating and a fully machined valve head for a clean seal against the valve seat.
