Skunk2 Alpha Series Honda B16A Connecting Rods

Skunk2 Racing is well-known for performance parts, especially for Honda vehicles. These Alpha Series connecting rods are built for the 1999-2000 Honda Civic with a B16A engine, designed to handle serious power upgrades. If you're rebuilding your engine or planning for more horsepower, these rods are a solid choice to ensure your engine's bottom end can keep up.

These rods are forged from 4340 chromoly steel, a very strong material, and feature an H-beam design. Skunk2 spent years developing this design, using FEA analysis to pinpoint stress areas and reinforce them. This results in a strong beam configuration that can handle over 900 horsepower. The straight design distributes stress over a larger area compared to tapered rods, and the two-piece forging process ensures optimal grain orientation in the rod cap for increased strength. They also include dual oil passages at the pin ends, which helps lubricate the wrist pin throughout the engine cycle, leading to greater durability.

Each rod is magna-flux inspected to ensure integrity and balanced to within 1 gram. They come with 3/8-inch ARP2000 bolts and bronze wrist pin bushings, and are shot-peened to reduce fatigue. These rods are 134.35mm in length and weigh 523 grams each. This set includes four connecting rods.
