This Multiple Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket from Skunk2 Racing is built for the demands of high-performance Honda and Acura K20A VTEC engines. It features a maximum bore of 87.00mm (3.425 inches) and a thickness of 0.85mm (0.033 inches), making it suitable for engines that have been bored out for increased displacement.
The MLS design offers increased strength against vibration and corrosion, with additional sealing layers. A unique HR-180 Fluoroelastomer synthetic rubber coating is applied for superior sealing performance, even at temperatures up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit (250 degrees Celsius). This well-built gasket is also laser welded and includes stopper-type features with extra material strategically placed to handle the increased power and vibrations common in performance builds.
