They allow you to fine-tune your car's handling performance and how it feels on the road or track by letting you select a specific spring rate and adjust ride height.
These springs are CNC-wound from SAE 9254V spring steel, which is a strong material for this application. After winding, they undergo a shot-peening process to relieve stress and improve durability. To protect against corrosion, they're powdercoated and phosphate treated. This particular spring has a rate of 18 kilograms per millimeter, which is equivalent to about 1008 pounds per inch, and features an elliptical shape for its 6-inch length and 2.5-inch inner diameter.
