Starting with American steel, these Skyjacker Softride rear leaf springs are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocities. This process compresses the surface of the steel, which increases the spring's tensile strength. Without this, you couldn't get the maximum wheel travel and ride quality without sacrificing the spring's lifespan. These springs are designed to give you a better ride and more flex, especially at the leaf ends, distributing loads more evenly and reducing friction.

Unlike other spring designs that use cinch-style clips which can cause binding and friction, Skyjacker uses bolt-style spring clips. The Softride design also tapers over the entire length of the leaf, creating more flex at the ends.
