Skyjacker's 2.5 inch diameter, 12 inch long coilover coil springs are built with a 300lb spring rate. These springs are made in the USA using high tensile chrome silicon wire, a strong material known for its durability and ability to maintain its shape. The manufacturing process includes shot peening, where the steel is blasted with hard pellets at high speeds. This compresses the surface of the steel, increasing its tensile strength and making the spring more resistant to fatigue and sagging over time. Each spring is also preset by compressing it fully until the coils touch, which further eliminates stress and prevents sagging. The ends of these springs are closed and ground flat, ensuring they sit evenly against the working assembly and distribute force consistently. This flat surface also makes installation easier. Finally, a durable black powder coat finish is applied to resist corrosion and give the springs a clean look.
