Skyjacker Leaf Spring 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee (XJ)

The individual leaves in these Skyjacker Softride leaf springs are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocities. This process compresses the surface of the American steel, increasing the spring's tensile strength. Without this, you wouldn't get the maximum wheel travel and ride quality without sacrificing the spring's lifespan. These springs are designed to taper over their entire length, creating more flex at the ends. This tapering helps distribute loads more evenly and reduces the chance of one leaf digging into the one above it.

Skyjacker uses bolt-style spring clips on these springs, which helps eliminate friction. This is different from other designs that use C-style clips, which can bend tightly over the leaves, causing binding and friction. The progressive multi-leaf pack construction ensures the load capacity will be equal to or greater than the original equipment.
