SPL Parts 95-98 Nissan 240SX (S14) / 94-02 Nissan Skyline (R33/R34) Front Tension Rods

Starting with the large diameter (1 3/8") billet 6061-T6 rods, these SPL Parts tension rods are precision CNC machined and gun drilled. This design choice helps reduce unsprung weight while keeping the rods strong and stiff, which is crucial for optimizing your front caster adjustment. By allowing you to fine-tune your front caster, you can significantly improve the turn-in response of your 1995-1998 Nissan 240SX or 1994-2002 Nissan Skyline. The stock rubber bushings are replaced with low-friction, articulating 3/4" FK Spherical Bearings, which eliminate the mushy feel and give you a much more responsive steering sensation.

SPL Parts uses an exclusive 4130 Chromoly Double Adjuster that offers a wide adjustment range and precise tuning capabilities, and it's also gun drilled to shed more weight. To further reduce unsprung weight without sacrificing strength, they've incorporated blue anodized titanium hardware. The custom 3/4" 3-piece FK Bearings Rod Ends feature a Teflon liner, manufactured in Connecticut, that ensures quiet operation, low friction, and smooth articulation. This PTFE liner is chemically bonded to the inner race, offering a high load-carrying capacity and increased wear resistance, making these tension rods reliable for both street and track use, with an operating temperature range from -65°F to 325°F.

These tension rods also include specially machined mounting holes for SPL Parts Brake Cooling Deflectors, making it easy to add improved brake cooling for track events or racing. Sold as a pair, these are proudly made, engineered, and assembled in the USA.
