This is the Turbosmart WG50 Gen V Pro-Gate 50 CG, a 50mm external wastegate specifically designed for applications using compressed gas, like CO2, for boost control. It's built to handle the demands of systems that actively bias the top chamber with increased pressure, offering a wide boost bandwidth suitable for drag racing or other compressed air setups. The unique inverted diaphragm is engineered for high-pressure CO2 or compressed air systems and large pressure differentials, ensuring reliable operation where standard wastegates might struggle.

Turbosmart put a lot of work into the flow dynamics of this wastegate, using CFD analysis and bench testing to achieve leading performance. The body is constructed from high-temperature 347 stainless steel, and the valve guide is made from Nitronic 60, materials chosen for their strength and ability to withstand extreme heat. The actuator housing can be rotated, allowing for easier installation and routing of plumbing. For even better thermal management, an optional liquid actuator cooling system is available. The wastegate comes with a 5psi base spring, but other spring options are available separately if you need to tune your boost levels differently. It uses strap-type V-band clamps for a secure 50mm connection.

While this wastegate is built for serious performance, it's important to note that it is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
