UMI Performance 05-10 Ford Mustang Adjustable Upper Control Arm- Roto-Joint

UMI Performance is known for making well-built suspension components for performance applications. This adjustable rear upper control arm is designed specifically for your 2005-2010 Ford Mustang, aiming to reduce wheel hop and improve overall traction and handling. The factory stamped control arm and rubber bushings can flex and deflect under hard acceleration, leading to inconsistent launches and less precise control. This upgrade replaces those stock parts with a stronger, more direct connection to the chassis.

This control arm features a UMI Roto-Joint, which uses a greaseable Delrin race around a spherical ball. This design allows for 28 degrees of movement, giving your rear end more freedom to articulate without binding, which is crucial for high-performance driving like auto-cross or road racing. Despite its performance capabilities, the Delrin race also absorbs road noise and shock, making it perfectly streetable. The arm itself is constructed from 1.250” x 0.120” DOM mild steel tubing and is fully TIG welded for strength. It also includes a spacer kit to address the common issue of oversized holes in the factory rear upper control arm mount, which can cause clunking noises. This kit tightens up that connection by reducing the hole size to match the factory 14mm bolt, eliminating slop during acceleration and braking.

This control arm is designed as a direct bolt-on replacement and is on-car adjustable using a heat-treated adjuster. It comes fully assembled and ready to install, using your Mustang's OEM hardware. The durable powder coat finish adds a layer of protection and a clean look.
