UMI Performance 05-10 Ford Mustang Rear Upper Control Arm

If you're looking to get better grip and more consistent launches out of your S197 Mustang, upgrading the rear upper control arm is a smart move. The factory stamped arms can flex under hard acceleration, and the rubber bushings deflect, leading to wheel hop and unpredictable handling. This UMI Performance rear upper control arm is built to replace that stock piece and give you a much more solid connection to the road.

This control arm is constructed from strong 0.120-inch wall DOM tubing and features MIG and TIG welded construction for durability. It comes equipped with grease-able Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings, which offer a significant improvement over the stock rubber. These bushings help eliminate flex and deflection, allowing the rear end to stay planted during hard launches and cornering. Plus, it's a direct bolt-on replacement, meaning you can reuse your factory hardware, making installation straightforward.

This kit also includes a spacer set designed to address an oversized hole issue in the factory upper control arm mount. Ford uses a 14mm bolt in a 16mm chassis hole, which can allow for movement and contribute to clunks. The included stepped spacers reduce the hole size to 14mm, creating a tighter fit and eliminating that unwanted noise.
