You're getting a set of boxed rear lower control arms, designed to directly replace the stock stamped steel arms on your 1959-1964 GM B-Body. These are a solid choice whether you're restoring a classic, building a street cruiser, or looking for better performance at the drag strip. The stock stamped arms can rust and weaken over time, but these UMI arms offer a much stronger, more durable solution.
Constructed from 0.120-inch wall rectangular tubing, these control arms are built tough. They feature CNC machined holders for the included grease-able polyurethane bushings, which are a step up from stock rubber. These bushings help reduce deflection, leading to less body roll, improved traction, and can help eliminate that frustrating wheel hop. The spring perches are designed to work with your factory springs, and MIG-welded end caps help keep road debris out of the bushings.
UMI Performance offers an optional Grade 8 hardware kit to make installation straightforward, though it doesn't include the shock mount bolts. This upgrade is a noticeable improvement for the rear suspension of your classic Chevrolet.
