Starting with the 19-position independent compression and rebound adjusters on the Viking shocks, this UMI Performance coilover kit offers a huge range of tuning possibilities for your 1959-1964 GM B-Body. Whether you're heading to the drag strip, an autocross event, or just want a more comfortable and responsive ride on the street, you can dial in the damping to suit your needs. The kit includes a hybrid coil spring that fits directly onto your vehicle's upper spring perch and the coilover shock bottom, meaning you won't need a spring compressor for installation. The adjuster itself effectively acts as the compressor, simplifying the setup process.

This particular kit features polyurethane lower shock mounts. Polyurethane is a good choice for mild street applications, offering a balance of ride comfort and reduced harshness compared to more performance-oriented bearing mounts. While UMI Performance is not responsible for poly bushing damage in performance applications, these mounts provide a solid, comfortable foundation for your suspension upgrades. The shocks are built, dyno-tested, and serialized in Lakeville, Minnesota, ensuring a well-made component. You can choose between a 450 lb/in spring rate, suitable for small block V8 applications, or a 550 lb/in rate for big block equipped vehicles, allowing you to match the spring to your car's weight and intended use.

For easier ride height adjustments, consider adding the optional thrust bearing and spanner wrench kit. The thrust bearing goes between the spring and the spring seat, allowing the seat to rotate smoothly on the bearing, while the spanner wrench lets you make those adjustments with the shock still mounted. This kit is designed to work seamlessly with UMI's lower A-arms or your factory lower A-arms, and pairing it with UMI's geometry-corrected upper A-arms will further enhance your car's handling capabilities.
