UMI Performance 64-66 GM A-Body Spring Kit 2in Lowering

If you're looking to give your classic GM A-body a more aggressive stance and improved handling for spirited driving, this lowering spring kit from UMI Performance is a solid option. Designed to lower your vehicle by approximately 2 inches, these springs are built to reduce body roll and eliminate that common "floating" sensation found in stock A-body suspensions. They're well-suited for everything from autocross and Pro-Touring events to just carving corners on your favorite road or cruising around town.

UMI didn't just wind any old spring; they worked with a Sprint Cup chassis engineer to develop these. The front springs use 5160 Chrome Silicon wire and have a linear rate of 530 lb/in, while the rear springs use 9254 Chrome Silicon wire with a linear rate of 130 lb/in. This linear rate setup means consistent handling characteristics, which is key when you're pushing the car. The springs come with a tough black powder coat finish and are proudly made in the USA. They are designed to work well with common engine swaps like SBC, Pontiac 400, aluminum head Big Block Chevys, and LS engines, achieving that 2-inch drop with those setups.

This kit fits a wide range of 1964-1966 GM A-body vehicles, including popular models like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, and Buick Skylark. While these springs are designed for a 2-inch drop with typical engine configurations, keep in mind that lighter cars might require slight spring trimming. For full-weight Big Block applications, they can also be used if you're aiming for a slight nose-down rake.
