UMI Performance 64-72 A-Body Tubular Front Upper A-arms 1/2in Taller Ball Joints

Starting with the relocated ball joint plate, these UMI Performance upper A-arms are designed to give your classic A-Body up to six degrees of caster without needing excessive shims. This, combined with the included 1/2-inch taller ball joints, creates an improved camber curve that can add up to an additional degree of negative camber at full bump. The result is a more connected steering feel and increased lateral grip, making your car handle more like a modern muscle machine. These arms are built for a range of classic GM A-bodies, including popular models like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, and Buick Skylark.

These aren't just about geometry changes; they're well-built for performance and durability. UMI uses greaseable, low-deflection Delrin bushings that they designed and manufactured themselves, paired with CrMo cross shafts for strength. The tubular DOM construction is TIG welded for a strong, clean look, and features improved header clearance. They also come with polyurethane bump stops and a durable gloss red or black powder coat finish to keep them looking good on your street car, autocrosser, or Pro-touring build. These are track-tested and jig-built right here in the USA.

Installation is designed to be a direct bolt-in with factory or UMI lower A-arms and spindles, though they may work with other brands too. The hardware kit, sold separately as P/N 4003, includes all the Grade 8 bolts, washers, and nylock nuts you'll need. UMI also includes recommended alignment specs and detailed installation instructions to help you get the most out of these A-arms.
