UMI Performance 64-72 A-Body Tubular Front Upper A-arms 1/2in Taller Ball Joints

When you're looking to give your classic A-Body a more modern feel on the road, this set of UMI Performance tubular front upper A-arms with taller ball joints is a solid choice. You'll get the A-arms themselves, which are built with a robust tubular design and feature UMI's own greaseable Delrin bushings and CrMo cross shafts. Also included are 1/2-inch taller premium ball joints, polyurethane bump stops, and a hardware kit with Grade 8 bolts, washers, and nylock nuts. UMI even includes recommended alignment specs and detailed installation instructions to help you get them set up right.

These A-arms are designed to improve your car's handling by increasing caster and providing more negative camber potential throughout the suspension's travel. The relocated ball joint plate allows for up to six degrees of caster without needing excessive shims, which helps with steering feel. The taller ball joint contributes to an improved camber curve, especially at full bump, which can increase lateral grip. They're built using DOM tubing and TIG welded for strength, then finished with a durable gloss red or black powder coat to keep them looking good. These are track-tested and jig-built right here in the USA.

This kit is designed as a direct bolt-in for many classic GM A-Body vehicles from 1964 to 1972, including popular models like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, and Oldsmobile Cutlass. They are intended for factory height or lowered cars, but UMI does not recommend them for cars with cargo coils or ride heights above stock. They are compatible with factory or UMI lower A-arms and factory spindles, and may also work with other brands' components.
