UMI Performance 64-72 GM A-Body 1-3/8in Tubular Rear Drag Sway Bar-Bolt-on

This UMI Performance rear drag sway bar kit is designed to help your classic GM A-Body launch straight and flat, especially when you're putting down serious power. What you get in this kit is a 1-3/8 inch diameter tubular steel sway bar, heavy-duty machined aluminum sway bar mounts with greaseable polyurethane bushings, a 1-inch billet steel hex adjuster for on-car pre-loading, and high-strength 4140 CrMo zinc-plated u-bolts. It's built to fit a wide range of vehicles, including popular models like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Oldsmobile Cutlass, and Pontiac GTO, among others.

This bar is constructed from lightweight tubular steel, saving about 8-10 pounds over some other options without sacrificing roll resistance. The unique CNC machined clamping system is designed to work with 3-inch and 3.25-inch diameter rear end housings, accommodating factory 10-bolt and 12-bolt rears, as well as aftermarket units from Moser, Strange Engineering, and Currie. The included hex adjuster allows you to fine-tune the bar's preload right on the car, ensuring a straight launch regardless of your power output. The chassis mounts feature a double shear design with reinforcement plates and use four 3/8-inch fasteners for a solid connection. While it's designed as a bolt-in installation, UMI recommends welding the mounts for maximum security when launching hard.

Installation requires drilling through the crossmember, and UMI includes a template and instructions to guide you. The bar itself is finished in a durable powder coat, available in red or black. This sway bar is manufactured in Philipsburg, PA, USA.
