If you're building a classic GM A-Body for serious drag racing, keeping the car planted and launching straight is key. This 1-3/8 inch tubular rear sway bar from UMI Performance is designed specifically for that purpose, helping your hot rod leave the line flat and true, no matter how much power you're putting down. It fits a wide range of popular vehicles like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, and Buick Skylark, among many others.

This sway bar is constructed from lightweight 1-3/8 inch diameter tubular steel, saving about 8-10 pounds compared to other options without sacrificing roll resistance. It features three distinct adjustment rates, allowing you to fine-tune it for street/strip use, drag radials, or full slick tires. The CNC machined clamping system is designed to work with 3-inch and 3.25-inch diameter axle housings, fitting factory 10-bolt, 12-bolt, and many aftermarket rears like Moser, Strange, and Currie. While it's a bolt-on installation, UMI strongly recommends welding the chassis mounts for added security, especially when launching hard. The kit includes heavy-duty aluminum sway bar mounts with greaseable polyurethane bushings and ultra-premium CrMo spherical rod ends with Teflon races for smooth operation and durability. A hex adjuster is built-in for on-car pre-loading, ensuring your car launches straight.

Installation requires drilling through the crossmember, and UMI includes a template and instructions to guide you. The kit comes with high-strength 4140 CrMo zinc-plated u-bolts and is finished in a durable powder coat, available in red or black.
