UMI Performance 64-72 GM A-Body Front A-arm Kit 1/2in taller upper ball joints

This complete front A-arm kit is designed to replace the worn-out stamped steel arms on your 1964-1972 GM A-Body vehicle, like a Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, or Buick Skylark. It brings your classic's suspension geometry up to date, offering improved performance and a more connected feel to the road.

This kit features both upper and lower tubular A-arms, built with accuracy using jigs to ensure a perfect fit. The lower arms use greaseable polyurethane bushings for precise handling and smooth suspension movement, along with polyurethane spring isolators for a comfortable ride. The ball joint mount on the lower arms is slightly angled to give you extra tire clearance, especially useful if your car is lowered. The upper arms come pre-assembled with UMI's own Delrin bushings, known for low deflection, and billet CrMo cross shafts. A key feature is the relocated upper ball joint mounting pad, which increases caster without needing excessive shims, leading to better steering feel. Plus, these upper arms include new 1/2-inch taller ball joints, which help improve the camber curve for better tire contact during cornering.

Both the upper and lower arms are fully assembled and ready to bolt on, including new premium ball joints. Critical welds are TIG welded for strength and a clean appearance. UMI includes recommended alignment specifications and detailed installation instructions to help you get the most out of this kit. The durable powder coat finish, available in red or black, protects the arms and keeps them looking good on street cars, drag cars, or autocross machines. This kit is designed to work with factory springs, lowering springs, and popular coilover kits like QA1.
