UMI Performance 64-72 GM A-Body Front Upper A-arms Adjustable 0.9in Taller Ball Joints

The machined CrMo cross shafts in these UMI Performance upper A-arms are a key detail, holding two precision rod ends that allow you to adjust the arm sections. This is part of an advanced design that precisely locates a 0.9-inch taller upper ball joint. This change alone significantly improves the camber curve, leading to more front-end grip, especially in performance-oriented builds. The ball joint plate is also relocated rearward, which increases caster for a more responsive steering feel without needing excessive shims.

These arms are built for strength and clean looks, featuring 1.250-inch diameter DOM tubing with 0.120-inch wall thickness and TIG-welded construction. The laser-cut ball joint pad comes with the premium 0.9-inch taller ball joints already installed, and a laser-cut bump stop brace is integrated into the design. For those focused on drag racing, there's also compatibility for a travel limiter. These are designed as a direct bolt-in for factory or UMI lower A-arms and factory spindles, best paired with tall ball joints. They are intended primarily for lowered vehicles; using them on stock height or taller springs may cause the bump stop to contact the cross brace. Each set is hand-built in Philipsburg, PA, USA, using US materials and is available in red or black powder coat.

This set is designed to work with a wide range of classic GM A-body vehicles, including popular models like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, and Oldsmobile Cutlass. UMI Performance includes recommended alignment specifications and detailed installation instructions to help you get the most out of these arms. A separate hardware kit, Part # 4003, is available and includes all the necessary Grade 8 bolts, washers, and nylock nuts for mounting.
