UMI Performance 64-72 GM A-Body Front Upper A-arms Adjustable 1/2in Taller Ball Joints

If you're looking to get the most out of your 1964-1972 GM A-body's handling, UMI Performance has developed an adjustable upper A-arm set that can make a real difference. These arms are designed to precisely locate a 1/2-inch taller upper ball joint, which directly improves the camber curve. What that means for you is more grip from your front tires, especially when you're pushing the car through corners. The design also moves the ball joint plate rearward, increasing caster for a more stable steering feel at speed.

Built with 1.250-inch diameter DOM tubing that's 0.120-inch thick, these A-arms are TIG welded for solid strength and a clean appearance. The machined CrMo cross shafts hold precision rod ends that allow for adjustment of the arm sections, and the laser-cut ball joint pad comes with the premium 1/2-inch taller ball joints already installed. A laser-cut bump stop brace is also integrated, and the arms can accommodate a travel limiter if you're setting up for drag racing. These are designed to work with factory height spindles and are best suited for lowered vehicles; UMI does not recommend them for stock or higher ride height cars as the bump stop brace might interfere with the cross brace.

This set is hand-built in Philipsburg, PA, USA, using US materials and is available in red or black powder coat. The package includes recommended alignment specs and detailed installation instructions. For installation, you'll need the UMI Performance upper A-arm hardware kit (Part # 4003), which includes Grade 8 bolts, washers, and nylock nuts. These arms are a direct bolt-in with factory or UMI lower A-arms and factory spindles, especially when using tall ball joints.
