UMI Performance 67 GM A-Body Handling Package 1in Lowering- Stage 1.5

Starting with the 1/2” taller upper ball joints, this UMI Stage 1.5 Handling Package is designed to give your 1967 GM A-Body improved stability and cornering performance. This kit builds on the foundation of UMI's popular Stage 1 package, offering an updated approach to muscle car suspension. It’s a comprehensive set of components aimed at transforming how your car handles, whether you're on the street or at the track.

At the heart of this kit are the Koni rebound adjustable monotube shocks. These shocks offer fixed medium compression with adjustable medium to high rebound, allowing you to fine-tune the ride without needing special tools – just turn the knob for one of 20 different settings. Complementing the shocks are 530lb/in linear front and 130lb/in linear rear lowering springs, which provide a sporty feel while maintaining a comfortable ride. To further reduce body roll and keep the chassis balanced, the package includes a 1-1/4” CrMo front sway bar and a 1” heat-treated rear sway bar. This kit is specifically tuned for Small Block and LS engines, accounting for weight differences that affect front end height. For vehicles with full weight big block engines, expect an additional 1/4" front end drop.

This Stage 1.5 kit is suitable for a wide range of 1967 GM A-Body vehicles, including models like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, and Buick Skylark. It’s designed to be street-friendly while still offering performance for corner carving, autocross, and road racing. You can also upgrade this kit to a Stage 2 or Stage 3 later without duplicating parts.
