UMI Performance 67 GM A-Body Handling Package 2in Lowering- Stage 1.5

This UMI Performance Stage 1.5 Handling Package gives you a complete set of parts to significantly improve the cornering and overall feel of your 1967 GM A-Body car, like the Chevrolet Chevelle or Pontiac GTO. It's designed to lower your vehicle by about 2 inches while providing a more balanced and responsive ride, whether you're on the street or hitting the track.

Inside this kit, you'll find race-proven Koni shocks that feature adjustable rebound, allowing you to fine-tune the ride from comfortable cruising to aggressive performance driving with a simple turn of a knob – there are 20 clicks of adjustment. The package also includes linear rate lowering springs, with 530 lb/in up front and 130 lb/in in the rear, which help maintain body control without making the ride too harsh. To further reduce body roll, you get a beefy 1-1/4” CrMo front sway bar and a 1” heat-treated rear sway bar. UMI also includes 1/2” taller upper ball joints, which are crucial for improving the camber curve during cornering, giving you better tire contact and grip.

UMI has carefully considered engine weight differences. For vehicles with Small Block Chevrolet or Pontiac 400 engines, the kit typically results in a level stance. If you have a lightweight LS engine, you might need to trim the springs slightly for the desired height. For those with full-weight big block engines, expect an additional 1/4” of front end drop. This kit is built in the USA and can be a stepping stone to UMI's Stage 2 or Stage 3 kits down the road, as many parts can be reused.
