UMI Performance 68-72 GM A-Body Rear Control Arm Kit Boxed Lowers

Starting with the reinforced sway bar mounting holes on the boxed lower control arms, this UMI Performance kit is built to handle serious driving. Designed for 1968-1972 GM A-Body vehicles, these control arms are a substantial upgrade for street, strip, or track use. They work to minimize suspension deflection, which translates to crisper handling and a noticeable reduction in wheel hop during hard acceleration.

The upper control arms feature a heavy-duty ¼” thick laser-cut mounting pad, precision-machined for accuracy and designed to fit all rear end housings. UMI uses 1/8” wall thickness USA mild steel tubing for the main construction, with MIG welding on the heavy-duty bushing holders and TIG welding on the sleeves that reinforce the sway bar mounting points. Each arm is assembled with high-quality, greaseable polyurethane bushings featuring zinc-plated steel sleeves, ensuring long-lasting performance and the ability to properly lubricate the bushings. A durable powder coat finish protects the entire assembly.

This kit includes both upper and lower control arms, ready to bolt on. Installation is straightforward with basic hand tools and typically takes about two hours.
