Product Details
This UMI Performance rear shock tower brace is a bolt-in upgrade for 1968-1972 GM A-Body cars like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, and Buick Skylark. It connects the upper shock mounts to share the load and stiffen the chassis, which can make a noticeable difference in how the rear of your car handles during cornering or under load.
Built from strong 1-1/4” USA tubing and MIG welded to 3/16” thick laser-cut brackets, this brace is designed for a solid fit. UMI includes all the necessary Grade 8 hardware for an easy installation using basic hand tools. It’s built to clear most popular exhaust systems and works with both traditional spring/shock setups and coilover conversions. The brace is powder-coated for a durable finish and manufactured in Philipsburg, PA.
