UMI Performance 68-72 GM A-Body Viking Front Coil Over Kit Double Adjustable- Polyurethane

Starting with the 19-position double adjustable shock, this front coilover kit from UMI Performance gives you serious control over your 1964-1966 GM A-Body's suspension. You can independently tune both compression and rebound damping, allowing you to dial in the perfect setup whether you're hitting the drag strip, carving corners at an auto-x event, or just cruising on the street. The kit includes a hybrid coil spring that fits directly onto your vehicle's upper spring perch, and the adjuster itself acts as the spring compressor, meaning you won't need a separate spring compressor tool for installation.

You get to choose the spring rate that best suits your needs, with options ranging from 250 lb for dedicated drag racing to 550 lb for small-block handling or big-block applications (excluding drag). The shocks are built and dyno-tested in Lakeville, Minnesota, and feature a brilliant protective finish to keep them looking good. For easier ride height adjustments, consider the optional thrust bearing and spanner wrench kit, which allows you to change your vehicle's height from stock down to a 3-inch drop while the shock remains mounted. This kit is designed to work with UMI's own lower and upper A-arms, or your factory lower A-arms, offering flexibility in your build.

The lower shock mount comes with polyurethane bushings for a balance of ride comfort and reduced harshness, making it a solid option for mild street use. If you're pushing the limits on the track, Viking offers bearing ends for increased reliability and performance, though UMI notes that performance parts, whether poly or bearing, will feel and sound different than stock rubber mounts. Remember that UMI is not responsible for poly bushing damage when used in performance applications.
