UMI Performance 68-72 GM A-Body Viking Front Coil Over Kit Double Adjustable- Bearing

Starting with the bearing mount on the lower shock attachment, this UMI Performance coilover kit is built for increased reliability and performance in demanding applications like drag racing, auto-x, and road course use. The kit combines Viking's 19-position double adjustable shocks with a hybrid coil spring, offering a wide range of tuning possibilities. You can independently adjust compression and rebound damping, giving you 361 possible combinations to dial in your suspension for street cruising, drag strip launches, or spirited track days.

The hybrid coil spring fits directly onto your vehicle's upper spring perch, and the lower end matches the coilover shock bottom. A coil spring compressor isn't needed because the adjuster itself acts as the compressor, simplifying ride height adjustments. You can lower your vehicle from factory height down to 3 inches. The kit includes a spanner wrench and a thrust bearing kit, which is highly recommended to make ride height adjustments smoother by allowing the spring seat to rotate on a bearing. You'll also choose your front spring rate from options like 450lb for small block handling or big block cruising, up to 550lb for all big blocks except drag racing, ensuring you get the right setup for your specific needs.

This kit is designed to work with UMI's lower A-arms or your factory lower A-arms, and pairs well with UMI's geometry-corrected upper A-arms for a complete suspension upgrade. The shocks are built, dyno-tested, and serialized in Lakeville, Minnesota, and feature a brilliant protective finish to keep them looking good. These coilovers are suitable for a range of classic GM A-Body vehicles from 1964-1966, including models like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Buick Skylark, and Pontiac GTO.
