When you open the box for this UMI Performance A-arm kit, you'll find a complete set of upper and lower control arms, ready to bolt onto your 1970-1981 GM F-Body vehicle. This kit is designed to give your classic car a more modern feel on the road, improving steering response and high-speed stability. It's a direct bolt-in upgrade for models like the Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, and even some Buick and Chevrolet sedans from the late 70s through the mid-90s, transforming your cruiser into something that handles with more precision.

UMI has engineered this kit to add significant positive caster, ranging from 5 to 7 degrees, which makes a noticeable difference in how the steering feels, especially at higher speeds. They've achieved this by relocating both the upper and lower ball joints. The upper control arms feature offset CrMo cross shafts that help reduce the number of shims needed during alignment, and a taller upper ball joint is included to improve camber gain during hard cornering. Inside the arms, you'll find UMI-built Delrin bushings, known for their low friction and ability to reduce deflection, leading to crisper steering. The heavy-duty spring bucket is built to handle factory and aftermarket coil springs, as well as popular hybrid coilover units, and UMI’s own reinforcement plates add both strength and a clean look. Double shear sway bar end links are also part of the package, designed to work with UMI's sway bar or most other factory-style eyelet sway bars.

This kit is made from USA-made DOM steel tubing and finished in your choice of UMI red or gloss black powder coat. UMI also offers an optional new hardware kit, with options for both 1/2-inch standard and 14mm metric mounting hardware, depending on your vehicle's year. UMI a-arms are supplied with sleeves to accept either hardware size, so you can confirm your vehicle's current setup before ordering.
