UMI Performance 70-81 GM F-Body Lower A- Arms Race Version

If you're building a 1970-1981 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird for serious track use, UMI Performance's Corner Max Race Version Lower A-Arms are a solid option. These aren't your average control arms; they're built from the ground up to give your front end incredible grip and improved steering feel. The design focuses on maximizing performance for coilover-only setups, saving weight over traditional spring bucket designs.

What sets these arms apart is the relocated lower ball joint, which can add up to 4 degrees of caster. More caster means improved straight-line stability and better steering return after a turn. They also feature a double shear coilover mount that accepts standard 1/2" rod end shocks, and UMI includes spacers for popular models. Plus, the removable lower mounting system lets you change springs at the track without disconnecting the ball joints, a real time-saver. These arms are constructed from 1.500" DOM steel tubing made in the USA, and they come with Delrin bushings for smooth suspension travel and reduced deflection. They also include a double shear sway bar mount and end link that works with many factory-style sway bars.

For the ultimate handling package, UMI recommends pairing these lower A-arms with their P/N 2656-1 upper A-arms, which can help achieve up to 10 degrees of caster. You can also opt for a new hardware kit, available in Grade 8 standard or Grade 10.9 metric, to ensure a strong connection to your chassis.
