CNC machined from 0.125" aluminum plate, this panel is designed to clean up your engine bay by removing the factory AC and heater box. This is a popular modification for GM G-Body vehicles from 1978-1987, and also fits a range of S-10/S-15 trucks and SUVs. Removing these components can instantly shave about 30 pounds off the front of your vehicle, which is a notable gain for performance builds.
The panel comes with a sanded finish, ready for you to leave bare aluminum or apply a custom powder coat. UMI Performance offers red or black powder coating as an option, or you can contact them for other color availability. Installation is straightforward, utilizing factory holes and hardware, so no drilling is required once the heater box is removed.
