UMI Performance 78-88 G-Body 82-03 S10/S15 73-77 A-Body Front Coilover Kit

If you're looking to dial in your classic G-Body, S10, or A-Body's suspension for a specific purpose, this front coilover kit from UMI Performance is a solid option. It combines a well-built hybrid coil spring with a 19-position double adjustable shock, allowing you to fine-tune your ride height and damping characteristics. This kit is designed to work with UMI's own lower A-arms or your factory lower A-arms, and pairs perfectly with UMI's geometry-corrected upper A-arms for a complete front-end upgrade.

The real advantage here is the adjustability. You get independent control over both compression and rebound damping, giving you 361 possible combinations to tailor the suspension for everything from street cruising and drag racing to autocross and road racing. The springs are available in several rates – 350lb for street or lightened drag cars, 450lb for big blocks or street use, and 550lb for handling-focused small blocks or most big blocks. The kit includes the coilover shocks and springs, and the shocks are built, dyno-tested, and serialized in Minnesota. You can choose the spring rate that best suits your intended use.

For easier ride height adjustments, UMI recommends the optional spanner wrench and thrust bearing kit. The thrust bearing goes between the spring and the spring seat, making it much smoother to turn the adjuster nut. The spanner wrench is essential for making these adjustments while the shock is installed. You can also choose between polyurethane lower shock mounts for a more comfortable ride or bearing ends for maximum performance and reliability in demanding applications like drag racing or road course use. Remember that performance bushings can feel and sound different than stock rubber mounts.
