UMI Performance 78-88 G-Body 82-03 S10/S15 73-77 A-Body Front Coilover Kit

This kit from UMI Performance includes a pair of front coilover shocks and a pair of hybrid coil springs, giving you the components to upgrade the front suspension on a wide range of vehicles including 1978-1988 G-Bodies, 1982-2003 S10s, and 1973-1977 A-Bodies. The shocks are double adjustable with 19 positions for both compression and rebound damping, allowing you to fine-tune your ride for everything from daily driving to track use. The hybrid coil springs are designed to work with the coilover shock body, eliminating the need for a spring compressor during installation and making ride height adjustments straightforward.

You can choose from several spring rates to match your intended use, whether it's for drag racing, street cruising, or road course/auto-x. The shocks are built and dyno-tested in Lakeville, Minnesota, and feature a brilliant protective finish. For increased reliability and performance, especially in demanding applications like road racing or auto-x, the bearing-mounted bottom shock attachment is recommended over polyurethane for mild street use. This setup allows for independent tuning of compression and rebound, offering over 360 possible damping combinations to dial in your vehicle's handling characteristics.

While the spanner wrench and thrust bearing kit are optional, they are highly recommended for making ride height adjustments easier, as the thrust bearing sits between the spring and the spring seat. These coilovers are designed to work with UMI's lower A-arms or your factory lower A-arms, and UMI suggests pairing them with their geometry-corrected upper A-arms for optimal performance.
