These boxed lower control arms are a prime example, designed to give your 1978-1988 G-Body vehicle a more solid feel and better traction. They replace your stock arms with a stronger, more precise unit that helps reduce unwanted flex and wheel hop.
These control arms are fabricated from thick 3-inch by 1-1/2-inch rectangular steel tubing with 0.120-inch wall thickness, then MIG and TIG welded for serious strength. What really sets them apart is the Roto-Joint technology on one end and Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings on the other. The Roto-Joints offer up to 28 degrees of movement without binding, allowing your rear end to articulate freely during hard cornering or aggressive driving, while the polyurethane bushings on the chassis side help absorb road noise and shock for a comfortable ride. This setup is designed to bolt right up using your factory hardware, and they even include reinforced holes for adding a rear sway bar.
This set comes fully assembled and ready to install, featuring a durable powder coat finish. They're a solid option for anyone looking to improve their G-Body's handling and responsiveness on both the street and the track.
