In this package, you get a pair of UMI Performance tubular front upper A-arms, designed for adjustable camber and caster. These arms are built using 1.250-inch diameter DOM tubing with a wall thickness of 0.120 inches, and feature 4130 CrMo cross shafts that are CNC machined and zinc plated. They also include polyurethane bump stops and are compatible with travel limiting bolts. This kit is manufactured and tested in Philipsburg, PA, USA, and is intended for vehicles like the 1978-1988 G-Body and S10 platforms, fitting a wide range of models including the Chevrolet Monte Carlo, S10, and Pontiac Grand Prix.
These upper A-arms are engineered for performance driving, whether you're hitting the track or carving corners on the street. The race-quality rod ends allow for shim-free camber and caster adjustments, making alignment easier and more precise. A key feature is the relocated ball joint mounting pad, which increases caster for improved stability and a more connected steering feel. The design also shortens the distance between the cross shaft and the ball joint. It's important to note that these arms are designed to be used with tall spindles and either standard height ball joints or tall ball joints; they are not compatible with standard height ball joints on standard height spindles.
This direct bolt-in upgrade is compatible with factory or UMI lower A-arms and factory spindles when using tall ball joints. UMI includes recommended alignment specifications and detailed installation instructions to help you get the most out of these adjustable A-arms. While shims are generally not needed due to the design, they may still be required for certain specific applications.
