UMI Performance 78-88 GM G-Body 3/4in Solid Rear Sway Bar Auto-x/Road Race

This kit includes a 3/4-inch solid rear sway bar, CNC bent from 4140 CrMo steel, along with heavy-duty race-style CrMo spherical rod ends with Teflon race, a 1-inch billet steel hex adjuster, greaseable polyurethane bushings, and zinc-plated u-bolts. It's designed specifically for the 1978-1988 GM G-Body chassis, aiming to improve handling during autocross and road racing events. Unlike some setups that can cause the inside rear tire to lift under hard cornering, this sway bar offers a lower rate to maintain rear tire contact and enhance vehicle rotation.

UMI has engineered this sway bar with a focus on reducing bind. The differential housing mounts are CNC machined to fit axle tubes from 2.75 inches up to 3.25 inches in diameter, accommodating various rear ends like Moser, Strange, Currie, and factory options. The chassis mounts are double shear and require drilling into the crossmember, with a template and instructions provided. You can choose the mounting hole position to fine-tune the bar's stiffness for different driving conditions – the longest hole for street and high-speed courses, the middle for medium courses, and the shortest for maximum rotation. The bar itself is CNC bent and features a durable powder coat finish.

This sway bar is a solid option for G-Body owners looking to improve their car's performance on the track.
