Starting with the offset aluminum bushings, these UMI Performance lower control arms are designed to move your control arm inward by 3/8 of an inch. This is a key detail if you're looking to fit larger tires or are setting up a mini-tubbed chassis on your 1978-1988 GM G-Body vehicle, like a Chevrolet Monte Carlo or Pontiac Grand Prix. The double adjustment feature allows you to easily make on-car changes to center aftermarket rear ends or fine-tune tire clearance, making them suitable for both race applications and light street use.
These control arms are built from strong DOM steel tubing, measuring 1.250" x 0.120", and are TIG welded for maximum strength. For an even lighter and stronger option, a 4130 CrMo steel construction is also available. They utilize high-load capacity, Teflon-lined spherical rod ends that help eliminate rear suspension bind, offering a solid foundation. The arms are supplied pre-set to factory length and can be adjusted to be 1" longer or 1" shorter, giving you flexibility during setup. Note that these control arms are designed for aftermarket sway bars that don't attach to the control arm itself, so they don't include sway bar mounting holes.
