UMI Performance 78-88 GM G-Body Bolt-In Viking Rear Coilover Kit

Starting with the 3/16” thick, US-made mild steel brackets, this UMI Performance rear coilover kit is built tough for your 1978-1988 GM G-Body. It’s designed as a direct bolt-in, meaning no cutting or welding is required, and you can even return your car to its original setup if you ever choose. This kit allows for full adjustability in ride height, spring rate, and damping, giving you the control to dial in your G-Body's stance and handling for everything from drag strip duty to spirited street driving.

The kit includes Viking Warrior double adjustable shocks, which offer a substantial 19 settings for both compression and rebound. This level of adjustability lets you fine-tune the suspension's response to match your driving style and road conditions. The lower bracket has a multi-position design, allowing for an additional ±¾” of adjustment in ride height and shock location, further refining your vehicle's setup. You can choose between 110lb springs, ideal for drag and street use, or 150lb springs for a firmer feel geared towards street and handling applications. This kit is designed to provide a 2” to 3” lowering effect.

This kit is engineered to fit factory rear end housings and is compatible with vehicles that previously used UMI's P/N 3010 weld-on relocation brackets. While designed for a clean installation, be aware that rear shocks may not clear all exhaust tailpipes, and UMI is not responsible for exhaust clearance issues.
