UMI Performance 82-02 GM F-Body on Car Adjustable Lower Control Arms

If you're working on a 1982-2002 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird and want to dial in your rear suspension, these on-car adjustable lower control arms from UMI Performance are a solid option. They combine a spherical rod end on one side with a polyurethane bushing on the other. The polyurethane bushing is designed to absorb road noise and shock, making for a more comfortable ride on the street, while the rod end connects to the rear end.

What's really handy here is the on-car adjustability. You don't have to pull the whole assembly off to make changes. Just loosen a couple of jam nuts and use the included chromoly adjuster to lengthen or shorten the arm. This lets you move the rear end forward or backward, which is great for centering it, especially after installing an aftermarket rear end, or for making sure larger tires don't rub against your fenders. The arms themselves are CNC machined and TIG welded from 1.250" x 0.095" 4130 chromoly steel, which makes them strong without adding a lot of weight.
